Why do we have these incentives? 

Rising pressure on water resources 
2025 was one of the warmest and driest years on record. With the East of England also being one of the driest and fastest-growing regions, pressure on water resources is increasing. Managing water efficiently in new developments is now more important than ever to safeguard this precious resource. Anglian Water is investing over £11 billion in major network upgrades to secure supplies for the future. But investment alone isn’t enough - developers have a key role to play.
