Following on from last month’s announcement that Anglian Water will hire a record 21 candidates into its bespoke two-year programme, the @one Alliance, Anglian Water’s Integrated Main Works delivery programme, will hire a record 31 new graduates into its own programme.

The @one Alliance graduate programmes provide an opportunity to feel part of something unique and powerful. Candidates will enjoy deep connections across a range of businesses and sectors in roles focused around the future requirements of the Alliance as it delivers its £3bn AMP8 programme on behalf of Anglian Water. These roles include Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Carbon and Digital.

Graduate roles for the next cohort, which will start in September 2026, include:

  • 5 Project Management Graduates
  • 20 in Engineering (mixture of office and site based roles)
  • 5 in Commercial (Commerical, QS and Procurement roles)
  • 1 Carbon Graduate
  • 1 Digital Analyst Graduate

The scheme offers an exclusive opportunity to work across the @one Alliance on one of its three business units, Water, Water Recycling and Place Based Thinking. For the duration of the placement, candidates will learn new skills and be integrated into teams that help them grow and thrive in the water & construction industry.

Applicants will be able to take full advantage of the Alliance’s many roles and opportunities as they progress through their careers providing an opportunity to grow and learn alongside a talented team and a wide variety of different types of learning.

Successful candidates will also be supported towards professional industry accreditations and will be working on projects across the Anglian Water region as part of supportive teams where you can be yourself and know that people have your back.

As an Alliance, graduates can be employed onto the programme through any of the @one Alliance partner organisations – meaning successful candidates will not only be able to pull on 20 years of experience from inside the @one Alliance, but will also have support from their partner organisation, which includes industry heavyweights: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), MWH Treatment, Skanska and Sweco.

Sophie Read, Project Manager and previous Project Management Graduate with Skanska in the @one Alliance, said: “From day one, I had the chance to work on many projects that make a difference to people’s lives and the environment. One of the things that stood out straight away was the level of trust – you’re given responsibility early on to shape your career and that really helped me grow in confidence.“Every step of the way you’re encouraged to keep learning, bring new and innovative ideas to the table and build the skills you’ll need for a long and successful career.”

Sandeep, Graduate Project Manager in the @one Alliance with MMB said: “There is an opportunity which is open to us as graduates to take on training which we find most attractive based on your job and on your personal development. There’s also an early careers department where we can reach out anytime at any point in your development.”
