Every drop goes through a lot before it gets to your tap. Starting its journey as rainfall, we borrow it from the environment and collect it from different sources like reservoirs, rivers and even underground. We filter, treat and carry out thousands of tests every day, to bring you safe, clean drinking water.
Ever wondered where your water comes from? It’s borrowed from a combination of natural sources.
Treating and cleaning & testing
At over 1000 water recycling centres, our teams filter, treat, clean and test wastewater, separating any items that shouldn’t be there.
This is where the science happens. Our team of experts carry out thousands of tests every day, to make sure our water is safe and high quality.
We maintain over 38,000 km of pipework in our network – which is longer than a trip to Australia and back.
Looking after water in your home
From that morning cuppa to a refreshing shower, life revolves around water. We protect every drop on its way to you.
